AGIP ROTRA HY is EP (Extreme Pressure) gear oil formulated for lubricating hypoid type gears operating under normal conditions for which EP oil is required. It is also suitable for use in gear-boxes, final drives and power take-offs on farm and earthmoving machinery.

PROPERTIES AND PERFORMANCES AGIP ROTRA HY contains special EP additives which ensure that a strong oil film is formed and maintained even under high load conditions such as occur with hypoid gears used in many automotive axles. Its outstanding antiwear properties, combined with its oiliness, markedly reduce wear on gear teeth and bearings. Its particularly good oxidation stability prevents deterioration even when in contact with components operating at high temperatures. Thus any tendency for viscosity to increase or for sludge to form is inhibited. It is noncorrosive to steel while ensuring efficient operation of all lubricated parts (especially for synchromesh). Its antirust properties effectively protect gears and bearings against rust and corrosion even when moisture is present.
